When a customer purchases the Ultimate plan from Travelex Insurance, one child under the age of 17 can receive coverage at no additional cost per each insured adult if all requirements are met. In addition to coverage for things like medical expenses and missed flights, Ultimate customers can purchase up to nine optional upgrades to customize their level of protection. Travelers should carefully compare plans offered by Travelex and other insurance companies to make sure they are getting the best deal.
Ultimate Benefits
If an Ultimate customer’s trip is canceled or interrupted due to natural disasters, severe weather, mechanical problems, and other eligible reasons, Travelex will reimburse up to $50,000 of the insured trip cost. Policyholders can also receive up to $750 if they miss a flight connection, up to $600 for trip inconvenience, and up to $2,000 for a travel delay. Ultimate also offers up to $2,000 coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged baggage and $500 for baggage delay.
Ultimate offers primary coverage for emergency medical expenses, with up to $250,000 coverage ($50,000 for NH residents). Plus, if you need an emergency medical evacuation or repatriation, Ultimate can provide up to $1,000,000 in coverage — which is crucial considering the high costs for evacuations. The Utlimate plan also provides $25,000 in accidental death and dismemberment coverage. As with all Travelex plans, you’ll have 24/7 travel assistance and access to Travelex’s Travel On app.
Travel Ultimate Optional Upgrades
Travelers have the most optional upgrades available when they choose the Ultimate plan. Ultimate offers nine upgrades that you can add after selecting this plan: cancel for any reason (cancel for fortuitous reasons in NY), rental car damage, adventure activities, accidental death for air travel, additional medical, pet care, rental property security deposit, cancel for business reasons, and additional baggage.
Travel Ultimate Limitations
You can only receive coverage for pre-existing medical conditions if you purchase the Ultimate plan within 21 days of your initial trip payment and insure all trip costs. The maximum trip cost for Ultimate is $50,000 and maximum trip length is 180 days (90 days in WA). For any other limitations, please read the policy details. There are also specific limitations for kids-included pricing and state of residence and destination limitations for Travelex’s upgrades. Carefully look over the terms and conditions of any insurance plan before making a purchase. The customer is responsible for providing documentation during the claims process to Travelex to qualify for benefits.
