Most cruise lines, airlines, hotels, and travel agencies will heavily penalize you for cancellation, especially if it happens close to your scheduled departure or arrival. Often, you will lose all or most of your payment. With Trip Cancellation protection, you may be reimbursed for your eligible loss. Additionally, in the event that your trip must be cut short (trip interruption) for a covered reason, Essential can provide coverage up to $10,000.
Travel Delay or Missed Connection
Should your trip be delayed, Essential offers up to $600 of coverage, for your eligible expenses. If you miss a cruise connection or flight, the plan also has a $150 coverage limit for your loss.
Baggage Insurance and Travel Assistance
This plan covers baggage loss as well as baggage delays with $750 and $200 limits, respectively.
The Travelex Essential plan also offers 24/7 travel assistance. These services include emergency medical assistance, language interpretation, and emergency cash transfer.
Medical Expenses
The Travelex Essential plan includes $25,000 for emergency medical protection and $200,000 to cover emergency medical evacuation or repatriation of remains, should that be necessary.
